Dr. Hendricker<\/strong> was born and raised in Decatur, IL. He attended Olivet Nazarene University for undergraduate studies, graduating summa cum laude in 2001. He completed his medical training with honors at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria in 2005. He then went on to complete his residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center and Nationwide Children\u2019s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio in 2010. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following residency training, Dr. Hendricker was named clinical assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University and completed a Laryngology fellowship, receiving advanced training under the direction of Dr. L. Arick Forrest in the management of voice and swallowing disorders. In December 2017, he completed his MBA with honors at Bradley University in Peoria, IL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Hendricker practices full-spectrum otolaryngology. He has advanced training in care for the professional voice, endoscopic and open techniques for laryngeal surgery, and awake fiberoptic procedures. He previously founded and served as the Medical Director of the OSF Voice and Swallowing Disorders Center, a multidisciplinary clinic devoted to the comprehensive care of patients in the Central Illinois region with voice or swallowing problems. He now serves as the Medical Director of Carolina ENT\u2019s Voice and Swallowing Department, overseeing the implementation of speech and swallowing services in the office. Additionally, he serves as Medical Director of FEES (fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing) at Catawba Valley Medical Center and as a member of the practice allergy committee, providing clinical guidance for the center\u2019s allergy initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to his passion for the care of voice and swallowing needs, Dr. Hendricker\u2019s clinical interests also include adult and pediatric general otolaryngology, surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases, endoscopic sinus surgery performed in the office and operating room settings, management of the allergic patient and management and care of patients with head and neck cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A member of the medical staff at Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Valley Medical Center and Viewmont Surgery Center, Dr. Hendricker is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association as well as the American Thyroid Association and Dysphagia Research Society. Additionally, he was inducted into the Bradley University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Hendricker has been active in teaching, serving most recently as assistant clinical professor of surgery with the University of Illinois College of Medicine and has held a similar position with The Ohio State University Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
