SMS (Text Message) Terms & Conditions

By opting in to receive SMS (text) messages from Carolina Ear Nose & Throat Sinus And Allergy Center PA, doing business as Carolina Ear, Nose & Throat – Sinus and Allergy Center (“Carolina ENT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Program description
Carolina ENT sends text messages to patients and authorized representatives who have opted in. Messages may include:
- appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling notices;
- scheduling, recall, and wait-list notifications;
- pre- and post-visit instructions, forms, and check-in links;
- account, billing, and balance notifications; and
- other service-related messages connected to your care.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages under this program. Messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or similar technology.
2. Opt-in consent
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you:
- expressly consent to receive text messages from Carolina ENT at that number;
- confirm that you are the subscriber or authorized user of the number; and
- understand that consent is not a condition of receiving care or services.
You may opt in by checking the text-message consent box on our paper or electronic registration form or by confirming consent with our staff. Consent boxes are unchecked by default and are separate from other agreements.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your appointments and account activity. You may receive recurring messages related to your care.
4. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan.
5. Opt-out instructions
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and will no longer receive text messages from us unless you opt in again. You may also ask our staff to remove text messaging from your account.

7. Data use and privacy
We respect your privacy. Information collected through this program is used only for service-related communications described above. We may share information with service providers (for example, our messaging platform) solely to deliver the messages you have agreed to receive.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
10. Prohibited use
You agree not to use this program for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes; to send unauthorized or unsolicited messages; or for any activity that violates applicable law.
11. Recordkeeping and compliance
We maintain records of opt-in consent in our practice-management system in accordance with applicable laws and industry guidelines.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates are effective when posted on this page.
