David Ethan Melon, MD FACS has been appointed as Young Fellow Representative to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (NC-ACS).
Dr. David Melon current serves as the President and CEO of Carolina ENT/HNSC. Under his leadership as Chairman of the Board of Viewmont Surgery Center, a strategic partnership with Frye Regional Medical Center and Catawba Valley Medical Center as co-joint venture partners was developed, extending cost-effective out patient surgery options to patients in the Unifour region. He is the Vice-President for the Catawba Valley Medical Society. Board certified by Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Melon is a member of the Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery and the American Thyroid Association; he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
NC-ACS is North Carolina’s official state chapter of the American College of Surgeons, a scientific and educational organization of surgeons that was founded in 1913 to raise the standards of surgical practice and improve the quality of care for surgical patients. The College is dedicated to the ethical and competent practice of surgery. Its achievements have significantly influenced the course of scientific surgery in America and have established it as an important advocate for all surgical patients.
